WHERE THE BEAUTY OF THE JUNGLE AND THE OCEAN MEET

TRONCONES

Troncones is located approximately 20 miles northwest of Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo and situated along the Pacific Coast in the state of Guerrero.  With a full time population of under 1,000 residents, this quaint village is one of the few remaining coastal towns in Mexico that has not been overridden by tourists, high rise hotels and chain restaurants.

The few expats who have been fortunate to make this their permanent residence and those who visit for vacation are often lured by the many surf breaks in the area including Troncones Point, a left break where the beach of Troncones meets Manzanillo Bay.  In addition to Troncones Point, nearby surf spots include La Saladita, The Ranch and La Boca.

There are plenty of restaurants in the area serving up authentic Mexican dishes and international flavors.

MAJAHUA

The town of Majahua is immediately adjacent and north to Troncones.  Many folks simply use “Troncones” when describing the location of Majahua since the two small villages practically merge, with Majahua being the smaller of the two.  Like its neighbor to the south, Majahua boasts the charm and authenticity of Mexico that is is becoming more difficult to come by these days.

The sounds that echo throughout this small village are those of the waves crashing along the unspoiled beaches and an occasional brood of chickens crossing the road.  Majahua is a nature lovers dream with an estuary nearby filled with many species to keep one’s attention as you paddle your way on a kayak.
