LIFE IS EITHER AN ADVENTURE OR NOTHING

GOLF

Ixtapa, only 30 minutes away, has two championship golf courses.  The “Marina Ixtapa Golf Course” was created by Golf magazine’s “Gold medal of Excellence” designer, Robert Von Hagge.

The “Palma Real” course was created by world renown golf course architect and designer, Robert Trent Jones, Jr.  Rental clubs are available.

SURF

Troncones, where the surf is a left-rolling reef break, and La Boca are within walking distance.  A short drive from the hotel will get you to La Saladita where you will find the famous left point break featured in Longboard magazine. Manzanillo Bay and the Ranch area also nearby.  Leave the wetsuits behind with 80 degree water.

FISHING CHARTER/WHALE WATCHING

Pangas leave from the resort for small game fish, including Sierra, Dorado, Bonita, and Rooster Fish.  Occasionally, the skilled fisherman will catch Wahoo and Sailfish.  Larger charters are available in Zihuatanejo.

HORSEBACK RIDING

A guide will bring healthy, well-kept horses to meet you at the resort, and take you along the beach and through the jungle.

KAYAKING

English-speaking guided tours leave from the resort, or you can rent a kayak and explore on your own.

YOGA

Find serenity underneath the 1,000 sq. ft. yoga palapa studio while overlooking endless ocean views.

NATURE & WILDLIFE WATCHING

Around the resort, through the jungle and at the nearby lagoon, a 15-minute walk, you’ll have ample birding opportunities.  The Audubon Society holds an annual retreat here.

SNORKELING/SCUBA DIVING

Snorkeling can be done close to the hotel if you have your own gear, or at Ixtapa Island and Los Gatos.  Both place in Zihuatanejo have gear for rent.  There is a certified dive shop in Zihuatanejo also.
